Why not try a Hamam bath as used by the Romans, Byzantines and the Ottomans. Or perhaps a go to the Göbektasi. This is a room where there is large marble table heated from underneath. Around the perimeter of the room will be sinks and seats. The table heats you up, the sinks cool you down.
This softens your skin and open your pores. Finish by rubbing off the dead skin leaving you with a feeling fresh and relaxed!

Mosques.
Of course you can visit one of the many, many mosques. Visitors are welcome to visit except during prayer time and on a Friday, as this is Muslim Holy day.
Visitors should remove their shoes and ladies should cover their head, shoulders and arms. Skirts should at least cover the knee.
and shorts are not allowed. Mosques in tourist areas may loan you a robe for a small fee.

Islam Religion.
The majority of Turkey is Muslim, founded by the Prophet Mohamed who born and died in Mecca.
Mohamed received a revelation from God and began to preach that there is only one God. This contravened the beliefs of the time as people worshipped many Gods.
Mohamed was forced to migrate to Medina in 622AD creating the first year of the Muslim lunar calendar.
Mohamed was finally accepted in 630AD with Muslims believing that Islam is the last religion and Mohamed was the last Prophet, beginning with Adam then Abraham, Noah, Moses and Jesus.
The bible is a very important and sacred book to Muslims, as is the Koran, a book of Gods revelations to Muhamed.
The Koran cannot be translated as it is sacred and only exists in its true form in Arabic.

Duties as a Muslim
Mohamed created the five pillars of Islam.
To pray five times a day.
To give alms to the poor.
To fast during Ramazan.
To make a pilgrimage to Mecca, once in their lifetime.
To understand, believe and say that ‘there is no God but God, and Muhamed is his prophet’.
Muslims do not eat pork, gamble or drink Alcohol. Icons are not used or worshipped
